SomeEcards ~ Pinterest Is A Conspiracy

Keeping Fitness In My Life

Even though I'm pregnant, I still want to work out & take care of myself. I know I'm only supposed to do what is comfortable to me & not to over do it, so I've been looking at different exercises & ways to work out. My regular workouts were pretty intense & are probably not a good idea while pregnant.

As of right now, I am only 18 weeks & have only gained about 10 lbs... but don't have much of a baby bump. Honestly it still looks like baby fat from my daughter! I never had much of a chance to exercise after I had my daughter & now that I do have the time, I am wanting to do what I can to get fit again. Plus I'm hoping for an easy labor ;)

I found a simple 30 day squat challenge {clearly focus's on the but} that I am considering starting as soon as tonight, if not tomorrow once I get settled into my new room. As you will see, the number of squats you do each day goes up a few more. I figure with this theory in mind, I don't need to start out doing 50 if I begin to feel uncomfortable. Here is the challenge:

Day 1 ~ 50 Squats
Day 2 ~ 55 Squats
Day 3 ~ 60 Squats
Day 4 ~ Rest
Day 5 ~ 70 Squats
Day 6 ~ 75 Squats
Day 7 ~ 80 Squats
Day 8 ~ Rest
Day 9 ~ 100 Squats
Day 10 ~ 105 Squats
Day 11 ~ 110 Squats
Day 12 ~ Rest
Day 13 ~ 130 Squats
Day 14 ~ 135 Squats
Day 15 ~ 140 Squats
Day 16 ~ Rest
Day 17 ~ 150 Squats
Day 18 ~ 155 Squats
Day 19 ~ 160 Squats
Day 20 ~ Rest
Day 21 ~ 180 Squats
Day 22 ~ 185 Squats
Day 23 ~ 190 Squats
Day 24 ~ Rest
Day 25 ~ 220 Squats
Day 26 ~ 225 Squats
Day 27 ~ 230 Squats
Day 28 ~ Rest
Day 29 ~ 240Squats
Day 30 ~ 250 Squats

In all honesty, I don't see myself getting up to 100 squats by day 9, however you never really know! I just hope that I can keep some fitness in my life & the easy stuff certainly shouldn't be too much of a big deal.

Feel like trying this challenge & doing it with me? Be sure to comment on this post then & let me know!!! I'd love to know that I'm not the only one out there keeping the fitness alive!

Almost Ready For The Move!

Tomorrow is the big day! Moving day! Luckily I only ended up with about 5 boxes & 4 bags worth of things to cram into the car, so it's clearly not a BIG move...Not just yet anyway. This should get me started though!

As you can see, I got most of my books, notebooks, day planners & coupon coupon binder (& coupons) all in this one box...wasn't easy & I ended up piling more on top

I had a bunch of clothes from my old apartment that when packed up were just thrown into large trash bags, barely even folded. Since I'm on a 'let's get organized' kick, I decided to repack these clothes & glad I did.

I saw somewhere about rolling your clothes, probably on Pinterest....imagine that! haha. So I filled an entire 13 gallon {flexible} trash bag & managed to get every pair of night pants, capris & leggings that I own into it! Now if you know me, that's a lot of pants. I'm going to guess there's probably 30 - 40 pairs in there, give or take.

Now all that is left is to get that small pile into the car & head off tomorrow afternoon :)
Wish me luck!

Binder Project

I am wanting to finally put together my own binder, & am hitting road block after road block. I've wanted to do this for a few years now & even though all the ideas and whatnot that I've found online are amazing...I'm only finding them to be helpful as ideas :( Looks like I'm on my own for the search of my own perfect binder....Here's to starting this journey.

I found printable calendar pages here. I chose to use the baby pink ones, as pink is my favorite color. These are great as there are many to choose from & they have every month of the year. You just download to your computer, edit what you need & print. So easy! {& we all know I love easy}

Goals checklist:
I think this is really important to keep me going & as a reminder of what I need to accomplish & by when. This particular one, my mother created for me simply by creating a table in a document with 3 columns... a check box, an area to write in the goal & an area for the date.

I won't be moving into my own apartment right away, rather just a room... sharing a building with others for a few months. I found this 'Home Inventory List' & thought that it would really help to keep track of my belongings while there.

I found this Weekly Schedule at My Organized Home & figured it's the closest I'm going to find to a daily to-do list. As you can see I wrote in the dates above each week day to stay a little more organized.

I am working on adding:
* Medical, emergency & just plain information, including medical history & medications.
* Weekly menu planning, shopping list (including prices to keep track of what I'm spending that trip), pantry inventory & recipes.
* Kids - I want to add tabs for each of my children that will include their medical information/history, copies of their birth certificates, schedules & court papers regarding custody & all that fun stuff.
* Finance - I figure it's probably time I start tracking my expenses & I will probably add in an expense tracker, account tracker & a budget to work on.
* References - I am ALWAYS finding blogs & sites that will help me in my organization or other aspects of my life & then forget the name or it might help me to add in a spreadsheet for that information.

I'm thinking that 3 pocket pages would be good use for pay stubs from work.
Sheet protectors would be perfect for bills, copies of birth certificates & other important documents like court papers & such.
Business card holders would be great for finally cleaning out my wallet!
binder pocket would definitely help to keep sticky notes, pens, highlighters, etc. inside the binder.

Getting Ready for Another Move

Well, things are about to get a little crazy again in my life. I'm happy to announce that I am about to make, yet another (& hopefully the last, for a while at least) move! I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, cause I sure am. Going to a town where I know not a single soul & almost an hour away from my mother.... YIKES! However, I am looking at it all as a good thing, a fresh start. Which many would agree is something that I need!

I have been stalking Pinterest looking for all kinds of different things...Moving tips & advice, organization, how to make a new home comfortable...everything. I'd like to say I've had tons of luck, however all I've come up with so far is that I need to keep looking.

I've seen many printable packing lists, however most of them pertain to road trips/vacations, or moving a whole home...Neither of which I am doing. So I've decided to just go the old fashioned route & create my own pen & paper list. I'm still working on this list, however as you can see, I don't have much to move! (Thank goodness)

I will be using whatever is available to me for packing... a single storage tub, 2 laundry baskets, some boxes & a few bags... Hopefully I can stay organized!

Well, as of now, that's as far as I've gotten. I will be sure to update through the weekend!

Perfect Sweet Tea

My ex is from the south & he loved his sweet tea....Which he obviously turned me onto. Ever since he taught me how to make it, I've been hooked!!!

Here is what you'll need:
* 12 Reg. Sz'd Tea Bags
* 4 C. Boiling Water
* 12 C. Cold Water
* 1 1/2 C. Sugar
* 1/4 Tsp. Baking Soda

Makes 1 Gallon

* Add baking soda & tea bags to pitcher, pour boiling water over tea bags.
Cover & allow to steep for 15 - 20 minutes.

* Remove tea bags. Add Sugar. Stir
{adding sugar while water is still hot allows the sugar to dissolve quicker}
Once completely dissolved, add cold water & then refrigerate until cold & you're ready to drink it.

Of course I am impatient & add ice to my desired cup & drink right away ;)
But to each his own!

Review ~ Realtree Ladies Pink Camo Sunglasses

So when I received my RealTree Ladies Pink Camo Sunglasses in the mail, I was so excited I nearly skipped to the house from the mail box! I couldn't wait to open the box & show off these beauties!

First off, the packaging... I was SO impressed with how TheCamoShop packaged the glasses.
Inside of a flexible plastic type of buttoned bag so nothing could get to them!

Once I got them out of the packaging & opened them up, I realized they opened kind of stiff. I'm sure I can fix this by loosening the screws a little. But why would I ever need to take them off?!?!

I am in love with the different colors of pink & the detail (the photo's don't do justice).

If there was 1 thing to find to complain about, I guess it would have to be how the arms of the glasses don't correspond with the end piece. If you noticed, the pinks are different shades & the "tree's" are horizontal in one area & vertical in another. But seriously, whose being nit-picky here?

Do you love them as much as I do? Be sure to check out the TheCamoShop & get a pair for yourself for only $14.99! So far, I believe they are worth every penny :)

Testing a new option

So, the way my schedule has been lately I have not been posting near as much as I want to, & it don't look to be getting much better with me starting a new job in the next few weeks. However I am now going to start, or test out, moblogging....or mobile blogging.

Of course posting from my cell limits me, a lot. But I will do my best & will hopefully not dissappoint.

Baby Update!!! ~ Week 15

I just can't believe that I'm in my 2nd trimester already! Wow, how time flies!

I've noticed an increase in headaches, yet I've been having more energy...Which is great considering I just got a call this morning and I'm going into management at my job!!! I'm going to need all the energy I can get.

My morning sickness is still just annoying symptoms. Nausea & gagging, but no action.

I seem to be gaining weight slowly, but I'm not sure as I haven't weighed myself in a WHILE.

Well according to The Bump, baby MJ is about the size of a Navel Orange, about 4 inches & 2.5 oz.

End of the month ~ Time to send those expired coupons off!

It's a new month and do you know what that means for couponers? It's time to clean house! Or our binders, envelopes, whatever we use...

Go through your coupons today and get rid of any that have expired. I know it's painful & sucks to throw away unused coupons & may even make you reconsider the value of couponing. It's ok, I've had these thoughts too! Just remember--you don't have to use a coupon just because you have it! Coupons are great when used at the right time & on something you'll actually use.
But to buy something you don't need or will never use isn't very frugal!

I'd like to suggest donating them to our troops?
They can use expired coupons overseas for 6 months after expiration!

6/30 ~ Shopping Trip ~ Total Savings = $62

So we all know how I love to coupon...Not extreme! Just for the things that I need or will need in the future. & if it's shelf stable & I'll use it, why not?

Now I can't stand those who buy 900 boxes of Jell-O just cause they could get it for next to nothing. Ugh! I could just scream. In my opinion, that's only cool if you're going to donate it...

Well for the past 3 weeks, I've been waiting & waiting & waiting to cash in on the Pamper's Wipes deal at Dillon's. I ended up having to get rain checks last week to make sure all my coupons didn't go to waste! (We only get to Dillon's once a week, on a good week) Both times prior to yesterday, the shelf was cleared! Oh I was so frustrated. However, yesterday we finally had some luck & were able to begin stocking up for the little guy.

I was able to score:
16 tubs of Pamper's Wipes @ $.99 each {Reg. Price $2.50/ea.}
4 French's Mustard @ 4/$5 {Reg. Price $1.25/ea.}
20 Yakisoba Noodle @ $1 each

- (16) $.50 Pampers Wipes Reg. & Sensitive {doubled}
- (3) $.50/1 French's Mustard {doubled}
- (1) $.30/1 French's Mustard {doubled}
- (20) $.50/1 Maruchan Bowl or Yakisoba {doubled}

Final Price:

I saved a total of $62!!!
