Financially strapped

Hey ya'll. So it's been some time since I've posted, let alone done any work, here on Todays Common Cents....for which, I apologize. You know how life can get & mine has certainly gone down that road, took a few pig tail turns & has ended up at a few dead ends & construction...But hey, here I am & I am ready to get back on track.

I am literally in the middle of a financial struggle (aren't we all) so I have been asking myself, 'How can I save us some money? How can I make what we have stretch as far as possible?'....These are hard questions to answer when I am caring for a 10 month old (with no help from her father, imagine that), not to mention child support garnishments, fines to pay off, motorcycle payment & vehicle insurance, student loans, daycare & of course rent, phone bills, etc.

So I have made it my mission to stretch & save as much as possible....

So far I have came up with making homemade laundry soap & fabric softener. That alone will help tremendously saving us $20 - $30 a month. That's up to $360 a year! Of course I need to purchase the products and subtract that cost, but hey...even saving half of that is worth it. Don't worry, once I start making these items, I will be sure to post with the recipe I've found :)

What changes have you made in your lives in order to save money? Please comment below. I'm welcome to any & all ideas!
